Our Meeting Theme: Planning for Transition

Please note that I did not run for Office for the next Toastmasters International Year 2021-2022 in this club.

I announced my decision four weeks ago. I will, of course, make sure that we have an effective transition for the Toastmasters International Year starting 1 July 2021, ending on 30 June 2022, and I will serve the rest of my term in office as Vice President of Education, ending on 30 June 2021.

Looking forward, and I have already discussed this with everyone; I will not continue to host our Club Website on my server at my hosting provider past 30 June 2021. I have offered to train Members of Our Club in the Administration of our Club Website.

I have offered to train everyone in the use of our Private Forum in order to plan more effectively and for better communication, and to help everyone with their speeches and their writing skills. This opportunity has been offered to everyone for the past year.

There is still time to take advantage of this opportunity.

For our current slate of Club Officers, we need to finish the Club Success Plan before the end of June for each Club Officer to get credit in the Toastmasters International Education Program. This is necessary if you want to attain your DTM.

I started working on our Club Success Plan last July, and finished writing the initial 21 page document on 2 August 2020. It is located in our Private Forum, Club Success Plan. I will transfer the domain name registration for our Club Website to a person named by our Executive Committee before the end of June. Our club needs to pay for a Zoom Pro account.

We have discussed setting up hybrid Club meetings. I have suggested ideas to accomplish this successfully.

It does not have to be expensive, and there are several ways to accomplish it.

I am discontinuing hosting our Club meetings on my Zoom Pro account after the end of June 2021. I need to have the time available to conduct my business. I will continue to attend Club meetings as often as I can. I have never missed a single meeting of our Club, and I have been hosting our Club meetings on my Zoom Pro account for well over a year.

I have paid all expenses for our Club over the past year. I did that to help everyone and to help our Club. I am not asking for any reimbursement for these expenses, as I said in the beginning when I took that burden on.

I am discontinuing my sponsorship of our Club expenses after the end of June 2021. I will make available an accounting of all of these expenses.

Update: If needed, I will continue my sponsorship, host our site and continue my full support of our site and every person as long as it is needed.

The important aspect for me is to see everyone working together, and helping each other. That has been and is my goal all along.

These expenses are not what you may think.

The only expense other than my time devoted to working on our Club Website and hosting every Club Meeting has been our Club domain name registration and privacy fee. I am not including my time spent working on my duties as VPE, Vice President of Education.

Over a year ago, I mentioned the domain name registration and privacy expense costs just under $29 per year. I have paid that fee twice now.

All of the other expenses I covered with the capacity that I have with my hosting account, my Zoom Pro account, with a paid WordPress Theme plugin and another paid WordPress Plugin with multi-site capacity.

For our Club website to look and function as it does now, the paid WordPress Theme plugin and the other paid WordPress Plugin will need to be included and paid for by the Club, another Club Member, or group of Club Members going forward starting 1 July 2021. These expenses are minimal, not expensive.

It is possible for another Club Member or group of Club Members to do what I did. I will be honored to teach you what I know as needed and appropriate.

Opportunity

I hope that someone steps up and takes this privileged responsibility and this great opportunity to help others and to learn about creating and maintaining a Professional WordPress Website, Private Forum, Media Library, writing Pages and Posts, Site Security, and to be an effective Leader, Team Player and Communicator on the World Stage.

Developing great Public Speaking skills, effective Writing skills, creating and maintaining a Professional WordPress Website will help you to succeed at any endeavor in Life, including creating, running or participating in any organization.

I would like to see our Club Website continue,  what our Executive Committee has done and what I have done to continue to set a World Model for Excellence in Toastmasters International, to help every Member of our Club, and not to be discarded and  destroyed.

I will dedicate my time and energy to make that happen, as I have done over the past nearly two years, since September 2019, when I joined our Club, and became a successful Club Coach for our Club.

We attained President’s Distinguished Status on 1 July 2020, the first time in 9 years for this Club.

See this post from 3 July 2020. We can do this again!
You can attain your DTM award too! Ask me how you can accomplish this highest honor. See this link for more information. DTM, Distinguished Toastmaster
Change is always positive. There is always an end to all situations, and also a new beginning. Let’s do all that we can to support each other and move forward to help make the world a better place! I feel that we are moving into a new era that will be a great blessing for all, the best of times.

The COVID-19 Pandemic has been a very challenging time, and I am proud of the work that we have done to keep our Club going during this time. This Pandemic is still ongoing throughout the World.

My hope for everyone is to succeed on your individual path in Life, and in Toastmasters International.

We completed our Club Officer Election two weeks ago. A Quorum was present for that election.

Two weeks ago, I updated our incoming new Club Officers who will be starting their duties on 1 July 2021 at Toastmasters International WHQ.

District 7 Annual Business Meeting.

In one of my other duties, I represented our Club at the District 7 Annual Business Meeting on Saturday, 15 May 2021, as a member of the District 7 Council in my position as Vice President of Education for our Club to elect the new District 7 Officers for the Toastmasters International program year starting 1 July 2021 ending 30 June 2022.

All District 7 Officers were running unopposed for their positions. A Quorum was present for that election.

Please welcome our new Club Officers for the Toastmasters International program year starting 1 July 2021 ending 30 June 2022.

Best regards to all!
